Founded in 1996, METU European Documentation Center (EDC) operates in coordination with METU Main Library as part of the Center for European Studies. The EDC carries out the mission of presenting objective and reliable information on the European integration process to the Turkish public with the aim to support academic and professional research activities in Turkey. The EDC serves to METU students and personnel as well as those from outside. The publications of the European Union reach the EDC regularly. Amongst the basic references are documents including the EU acquis, scientific and technical publications, statistics, reports and brochures on subjects like customs union, trade policy, agriculture, fisheries, employment, economic and social problems, manufacture, competition, finance, foreign relations, transportation, energy, regional policy, environment, education, culture and scientific and technical research.
